John Jackson

John Jackson, Owner and Team Driver for The Motorsports Group, has been involved in racing intensively for the last six years. He is the Palm Beach County field supervisor managing a successful audio/video integration business.  He brings his years of managerial human resource and project management experience to TMG ensuring a high level of professionalism in all of TMG's endeavors.

Jackson just finished up an extremely successful season of racing that started with a 2nd in P1 and 2nd overall finish in the SCCA New Years Night Enduro at Moroso Motorsports Park in his 2.5 liter BMW which usually runs in P2/ITR .  He also won the D Prepared division at both the Sebring National event in January and the Daytona National again in May.  His weekend at that event proved doubly successful as he and his co-driver TMG/Bayles Tuning Team Driver James Bayles placed their ITR BMW on the pole for the scheduled 2 hour Enduro.  Jackson again saw the podium as he and TMG Team Driver James Jay Mauney took first in class in their ITA 2.7 liter E30 BMW in both the Saturday and Sunday 1.5 Hour Enduros in June at Homestead.  They finished an unbelievable 6th and 5th overall during the event.  Jackson teamed with Mauney for the Moroso Night Enduro in July and again upset the field.  Forced to start at the back of a 30 car field due to a failed rental transponder, TMG worked through the pack, with Mauney turning the second fastest lap of the race, to finishing second in ITA and 7th overall.  Jackson hold the class track record a Daytona Internation Speedway in the SCCA DPrepared class. Jackson was honored at the South East Division Awards banquet this year as has outstanding season long performance earned him the SE Division Championship in D Prepared.

Jackson holds racing licenses with the SCCA, NASA and BMWCCA and is a certified SCCA instructor.  Jackson will continue to offer private coaching for TMG's level I - III programs.  When at the track you will find Jackson managing the mechanical staff and maintaining all the engine management and data acquisition systems on TMG racecars insuring the continuum of TMG's unbelievable winning streak.  Jackson will certainly be a threat in 2008 in both the ITA and D Prepared divisions.

Beyond racing Jackson spent 15 years working throughout the United States and Europe as a DJ and Producer.  He parlayed that experience into a successful career as a Night club designer working extensively with lighting and sound reinforcement.
